'Twilight' endeavors without Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart?
July 18, 11:04 PM
“Twilight” is coming to the book shelves in a new form, as a graphic novel.
The “Twilight” book series has been selling record amounts that have jumped in total since the film version was released. Entertainment Weekly reports from the San Diego Comic Con that the transformation of the novel to graphic novel is in preparation by Yen Press. The graphic novel will be drawn by Korean artist Young Kim who is developing a different rendering of the now famous characters from the film version’s star’s Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Fans of the “Twilight” film series may be turned off by the lack of likeness of the famous stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Publishing director Kurt Hassler says, “People should feel like they are getting a rare glimpse inside (Meyers) vision of the property.”
Stephanie Meyer is placing her insight into every aspect of each page. Meyers is writing the dialogue for the graphic novel and has been quoted as saying about the fans that “...They’ll be just as thrilled as I am for this new interpretation.”
The Hatchett Book Group imprint’s unveiling will undoubtedly lead to another realm of entertainment for the “Twilight” fanatics, but the lack of resemblance to the main stars could spell backlash.
